USHERS

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God, then dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10

As ushers it is our responsibility to meet, greet and seat all members, visitors and friends that enter into the sanctuary.  We also assist our Pastor and ministries of the church with all activities or events held on the grounds of St. Mary Baptist Church.  We also travel with our Pastor and will assist as needed with our sister churches.  We also distribute programs, flyers and other literature that is asked to be given out during Worship service and events. 

Our brothers and sisters in Christ whom enter our sanctuary are made to feel welcomed inside the “church that love built” and will receive friendly and courteous attention.

Our different Usher ministries meet as follows: 

Senior Ushers – 1st and 3rd Sunday 

Usher Ministry #2 – 1st and 2nd Sunday 

Junior Usher – 4th and 5th Sunday
