Trustees

 “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out amount you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.” Acts 6:3 (Acts 6:1-5)

The Trustees of the Saint Mary Baptist Church are Layman who takes care of the secular business of running the church.  The Trustees manage finances, property, and ensure the church is compliant with any legal requirements. 

The Trustees serve under the oversight of the Pastor, undertaking those areas of service necessary for the churches' functioning that would otherwise prohibit the Pastor and other from performing their biblical responsibilities. 

The position of a Trustee is not a biblical mandated office; rather, it is practicality to aid the appropriation maintenance, and disposition of church property.  Although trustees are not mentioned in the bible, our role is biblical appropriate.  The New Testament calls us to be good stewards of our blessings to maintain order in the church, and to use our gifts to benefit the body.
